What’s the best thing about being a parent in the city? Everything – so much to do– we love living by sea (although don’t go enough!) Best thing would probably be the mums. When I 1st moved here I knew no one and was really lonely ;-( but I met some amazing new mums who I know will be friends for life. Everyone is so friendly and there’s such a great mix.

What are your interests? I love cooking and eating and good wine and the cinema. Just hanging out with the kids is probably my favourite way to pass the time – they are just getting to that age where we can snuggle up and enjoy a DVD together or play a game. Having only recently passed my test I love driving and would really like to travel more if time/budget allowed!
What’s your favourite Brighton memory (with or without child)? As a child, my granddad was a war veteran and stayed at St Dunstan’s in Ovingdean which is the most amazing place for damaged soldiers. He was blind but St D’s is so well designed he could retain much of his independence and enjoy walks by the sea. I used to love coming down here to see him and even driving out that way and seeing the building makes me very emotional still. Brighton holds very happy memories for me tho – crazy weekends away with my boyfriend (now husband!) in Brighton B & B’s, the sight of the sun setting over the sea from floor 11 of the Royal Sussex as they put my 1st born into my arms – all good…….
Favourite place in Brighton and vicinity? I love the library! Also love going to surrounding little towns like Steyning and Shoreham and nosing around the shops and cafes!
