I was recently given the delicious task of testing out a range of a great new soy drink brand called Vive Soy for Brighton Mums and I was not disappointed.
The drinks come in six flavours: Cappuccino, Chocolate, Vanilla, Soy, Unsweetened and Light Soy, and can be used for cooking, cereal and to drink.
My favourite to drink was the Cappuccino one, because during the recent heatwave it went down nicely with a lot of crushed ice! It was also a great flavour to top up my hot chocolate with as mocha is my favourite naughty hot drink.
I am a bit of a cereal addict, and I managed to try all of the flavours with my various cereals. My favourite was putting the Cappuccino and the Chocolate flavours in nutty cereals, and it felt more like a yummy dessert.
What I liked most about these drinks was the health benefits. They are very high in natural protein and contain Omega 3 and 6 which are very good for us. The drinks are cholesterol free and contain lots of nutrients and minerals such as iron and potassium, as well as fibre.
The Soy, Unsweetened and Light are brilliant for my hundreds of cups of tea per day, and my toddler enjoyed drinking the Vanilla flavour as a treat.
My next mission is to find other ways to use the drinks, and I’m thinking using the sweeter flavours to create a delicious rice pudding…
