My second pregnancy isn’t going as smoothly as the first. Changes to my mind, my body and their functions have taken me quite by surprise.
I probably shouldn’t admit most of these but who am I if I don’t share my embarrassment with you? Who knows you might have the same happen to you…..
The first trimester bought a lot of sickness, so much my head wanted to explode, and on one occasion I had to admit that I wet myself as my body was squeezing every bit of vomit it could out. Luckily it was on my own bathroom and not that of the Dome Foyer.
This time around tiredness elevated ten fold. I admit I may have napped in the Officreche office when no other co-workers were around only to be caught out by a couple having a tour of the nursery and the office space. Bless the owner who told me to bring in my own quilt…
I remember with Fizz I went for a regular bikini and leg wax. Cue this time around I’m looking like an extra in a very strange adult movie just to save a few pounds. Thankfully the husband hasn’t caught me at that again. Mind you this will be the last addition to our family so maybe it doesn’t matter if he does?
The post natal bleed. Fingers crossed that I have a few more months before this happens again. I’m not keen on experiencing that kind of ‘Niagra Falls’ gushing again. The one where the midwife came running after I crimson end my cubicle. Why did no one think to tell me that you still get that kind of bleed after a c-section…..
What do you wish you had been told would happen to your body?
And yes those pelvic floors still count…I’m not planning on having shares in Tena just yet.
