Learning to swim: Day Five, our week ends
Our week of swimming lessons with Seriously Fun sadly draws to a close but after a shaky start on day one, our 3 year old ends on a high. Day four went without a hitch. Like all the other parents and kids, we led them to the designated registration area and wished them a good lesson. We then huddle in the changing room, chatting and swapping stories. So invigorated in chat was I (ahem), that [...]

Learning to swim: Day Three
Today, Daddy took Little L to her Seriously Fun swimming and more progress was made with her confidence. Learning to swim: Day Two
Monday we started our Seriously Fun Swim School holiday course with our 3 year old daughter. Learning to swim: Day One
Today we started our Seriously Fun Swim School beginners holiday course at Roedean School. Each day this week, I’ll be writing about how our 3 year old progresses in the lessons plus give an insight into the different exercises they learn. Despite us making her aware of what was going to happen at the swim class, today did not go to plan. First thing this morning, she burst into the room with her swim gear [...]

Can you teach a 3 year old to swim in a week?
Our 3 year old is signed up for a Seriously Fun Swim School half term crash course next week. After booking a long overdue family break to Portugal this May, we wanted her to have lessons so she can enjoy the pool but also be safe. Like many parents, we followed a baby swim class until Little L was 18 months old. After 7 stages of classes, she was doggy paddling by the end. It [...]
