September Fun

0

September is my favourite month. It is half my life ago since I was a student but I love the whole back t school feeling. I have the urge to buy lots of lovely new stationery, write lists and get really organised. Piran has just gone back to school and although I have really been craving the routine that school brings to our life I am missing him quite a bit. I am happy to have time with just Kate again though - we always have a lot of fun. She is starting a new nursery next week so there is a lot going on.

The weather is another reason that I love this time of year. Hot summer days just make me grumpy I am afraid but those gorgeous bright September days when it is surprisingly warm after a chillier start are the days that make me so happy. This month we plan on making the most of our weekends as much as we can, I really love to try and spend as much time outside as we can at this time of the year. I have plans for blackberry and sloe picking, scooting by the sea and trips to the woods. Collecting conkers. Nothing beats that first fistful of those shiny beauties (I have a slight conker obsession!)

There is a Family Funday at Plumpton Race Course on Sunday 21st September. Parking is free, as is the entry for all children under 18. According to the website there is plenty for children of all ages to see and do including all the excitement of a day the races, free pony rides, funfair, face painting, rock climbing wall, Sussex Peggers display, Retraining of Racehorses display and a host of other themed entertainments. If the weather is nice this sounds like a lovely day out.

Hope you are all enjoying September too.
