Review: Pregnancy + By Health and Parenting

Health & Parenting, gave me a code to test out their pregnancy essentials app, ‘Pregnancy +’ for iPhone, iPad and iPod. After trying the free version of a few apps to track my pregnancy I was really interested to see how much more you get for £1.99.

Pregnancy + is a great little app with space for everything from checking which fruit size your baby is to a space for shopping lists and those all important appointments. I found the appointment area really useful to have , especially as this pregnancy I seem to be going to the a various range of appointments including scans, glucose starvation tests and extra scans. 20140306-052920

There is a blog update everyday and although it isn’t tailored to your stage of pregnancy it can be quite nice to read. I admit that I haven’t read every post as a few haven’t been relevant. The for dads area is nice, if a little bit dull? I would love to have seen a few more blogs aimed at the partner not just helpful hints at what to do to support your partner (which for me seem common sense?).

One of my favourite things about the app is the handy shopping lists and the favourite names lists. Not overdone to make you spend more money but actually quite practical. This is really handy specially if you are a first time parent feeling a little lost. With the names there are top 100 lists from a few different countries added and space to add your own which is great for parents that are knocking heads about what to call their newborn too!

It has a lovely extra touch with a 3D image area which Fizz loves to use everyday checking up on how her baby brother looks. Somehow she thinks the iPhone can see straight into mummy’s tummy!

Since receiving it I’ve actually gifted it to someone else as I have found it really useful. Have you found an app to be really useful?
