A while ago I was chosen as a Kurio Ambassador. Basically this means to me that I am reviewing the tablet for Kids for the next 12 months. The company supplied with a Kurio 7s in green for us to test out and repot back over the year. Not only is it great because Fizz will develop and grow in the next year but it means that feedback is taken seriously by the company. They are investing their time to get things right.

First things first - the Kurio comes ready set up with games/books and various other apps already loaded. This is fantastic. No faffing around - out of the box and ready to play. Well…almost.
The Kurio allows you to set up parental controls and an account for your child with age restrictive options so that they can’t access anything that they shouldn’t. It felt simple to set up - however a few days later I had a panic when I couldn’t figure out how to use the parent account again. I thought I broke it, I panicked, tweeted Kurio who were very fast to respond. Yeah the main page calculator wasn’t actually a calculator, why would you need a calculator on the main page….yeah that’s where my password goes…(idiot was not the word for what I felt when I realised).
Apart from this the Kurio has gone down well so far. Fizz loves the interactive story books more than the games which feels like a big result for me at the moment.
But there is so much choice! If we are on a long journey we can hook into her games or our netflix account. It is a good all round tablet so far.
Next thing is I am loaning it to our nursery to see what the staff think.
