Jill Fairbrother is a 41 year old mum to Matilda 7 and Archie 5. She has lived in Brighton for 15 years now and have no intention of moving away. Most of her spare time is spent either experimenting in the kitchen or CrossFit training. Today she shares about how she has set up her business.
The BumpBag Company is a Brighton born business that now distributes across the whole of the UK and is also just reaching into the European market. Our customers include individuals wishing to use the BumpBag at home for comfort during and after pregnancy, therapists using the bag for massage and other treatments. We also have BumpBags in maternity units at private hospitals and local council schemes.
The BumpBag is special as it is the only product available that allows a pregnant lady to lie fully on her front throughout pregnancy.
I came across the BumpBag when I was pregnant with my second child. At that the time the business was owned by my friends husband who happily lent me one for the remainder of my pregnancy. I fell in love with the product as soon as I lay on it. A couple of years later the owner approached me as he was unable to continue due to other business commitments. I took this business over within a couple of months and haven’t looked back since.
My Tips for pregnancy :
1. Do some pregnancy yoga - it’s great for keeping your aches and pains away, boost your circulation and teaches you great relaxation and breathing technics for your labour.
2. Go swimming - evening if it’s just to float around for half an hour, the feeling of weightlessness is wonderful.
3. Get you partner to sleep in a different bed!
Due to my love of water and the amazing feeling that it gave me when pregnant I would recommend Watsu in Brighton http://www.watsuaquatherapy.co.uk/pregnancy.htm
