Do you struggle with discipline when it comes to your eating habits? Why is that? … I meet clients who train well and regularly, yet continue to eat and/or drink things that seriously stall (or even reverse) their progress. Professionally and personally I’m not someone to advocate no carbohydrates or high protein diets, etc. etc. but in order to feel and look the way you genuinely want to, you must take control over what you consume. Sure, there are many excuses, but at the end of the day who are you kidding?! — Only yourself.
We don’t all have to be slim and toned but when you know you can do better for yourself, to feel better on the inside, why don’t you? … Stop and really have a think about just why you reach for … (whatever it be; biscuits, pastries, crisps) at certain times of the day. Is it when you’re tired, emotional, or you just ‘need’ something? It can be truly liberating to get the better of bad habits. I’ve done it and so can you!
Before you get fed up of my ranting, I’d like to share with you some inspiring people I’ve come across and a couple of recipes, that are easy to make and taste great. Try them for yourself and let me know how you get on!
For a delicious, summery and fresh tasting side dish to go with your meal, try ‘Green Beans with Lemon and Tarragon’ from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. I made it a couple of weeks ago and wanted it again the very next day. If you need a fun and simple-to-make snack which can also involve the little ones, voila: Banana Bread Energy Bites (my version pictured below), from Deliciously Ella. I regularly take a look at this blog — especially when I’m having trouble with my digestion and feel like I need a ‘free-from’ recipe — because everything is free from gluten, wheat and sugar. Take a few minutes now to explore the blogs above for more of what you like and will keep you inspired and on track to achieve your health and well-being goals.
