Review: Mothercare Backspin Stroller

mothercare backspin

Those of you that have been paying attention will remember that I accidentally bought four buggies. Anxious to reassure my husband that I’m not a lunatic (he wasn’t convinced), I thought I’d write some pushchair reviews so I could at least say it was all in the name of research (he wasn’t convinced about that, either). In this, the second of my three buggy reviews, I tackle town and country with the cheap and cheerful [...]

242128_10150292642414665_571519664_9069040_8196677_o

Halos n Horns sent us some lovely products to review and they’re offering 5 Brighton Mums fans a great gift pack too! We bought some lovely Halos and Horns products at The Baby Show NEC and after speaking to them about Fizz’s love of the Toothy Fruity we got to try the fab Gentle Bubble Bath and Body Wash and Moisturising Lotion. A great bath combo!. What I loved most was that the lotion wasn’t [...]

Review: Planting with a Potty Competition

279680_10150335682179665_571519664_9440413_5669267_o

When Becothings sent us a potty to review I did wonder how much I could say, especially as we’ve only just started to think about toilet training. Other than the usual uses for a potty I was really surprised when reading the packaging. The potty itself is quite robust, not feeling flimsy at all and has that hint of recycled paper look about it.

Munchkin Snack Catcher - gadget or godsend?

Her very own funky snack pot

We were given a Munchkin Snack Catcher to test with our nearly 3 year old daughter, a tub for dispensing snacks with limited mess. Given we’ve managed snack time without the Snack Catcher thus far, I have to ask is it a gadget or godsend? I’m usually quite sceptical about what I call baby ‘gadgets’. Some items seem designed for only one or two specific purposes, offering little value for money and tend to create [...]

Introducing The Bra Lady

Blissful disorder

When I reached the 37 weeks pregant mark, it was well overdue that I get fitted for a nursing bra. Bravissimo just about saved me from a life of frumpdom my first time round but even their range is a little limited, so decided to investigate a little more what options there are for womanly feeding. I found Bras4Mums. If you reckon that glamour should be low down on the priority list with a newborn, [...]

Review: Bumfluff save our Booty

This Bumfluff Nappy Balm from arrived from Organic Monkey and as soon as we opened it I loved the smell, with divine scents of lavender, roman chamomile and shea butter. We have started with giving Fizz a choice of finger foods and I was warned that napy rash would probably appear again. We’d used bepathan the last instance but after meeting Organic Monkey at Baby Expo in Brighton I loved their story, two mums set [...]

Competition: Saving Water With Soap and Glory

2MIN_RINSE_NEW_LOGO_JUNE

At Soap & Glory, we sell an awful lot of Shower Gel. So when – in a ‘Greening’ meeting last year – A Sustainability Specialist told us that the big problem we’d all be facing in the not too distant future was water shortage, it hit home that we should try to get people thinking about showering responsibly. So we got out a stopwatch, and worked out that you only need about one hundred and twenty seconds [...]
