Brighton Women’s Centre Celebrates International Women’s Day

Friday 8th March is the 102nd International Women’s Day. It’s a perfect opportunity to celebrate your womanhood and show solidarity for those around the world who face continual struggles or violence due because of their gender.

Brighton Women’s Centre have two fabulous events to entertain and inspire you.

Friday 8th March, 7.30pm - International Women’s Day Extravaganza, Sallis Benney Theatre

Brighton Women’s Centre is putting on a benefit event for International Women’s Day featuring female performers, including Qukelele, the UK’s first and only LGBT ukulele band, socialist feminist a capella group Velvet Fish and performance poet Deanna Rodger. More information on tickets and venue

Saturday 9th March, 10am - 4pm - International Women’s Day at the Dome

A free event (women only until noon) with a wide range of throught-provoking and creative activities: stalls, speakers, discussion, art, performance, dance and much more.
