Brighton Science Festival - What can you do for FREE?

The festival continues into half-term and there’s plenty of events to keep the kids amused, even a good range for FREE. Our handy guide below to £0 events below will help keep your budget in tact but maximise fun family time together:

Drop in for all ages.

Join scientists and artists at Arthropod Arts and help create enormous sculptures of arthropods using stone, wood, card and plastic.

Into The Blue

Hove Museum and Art Gallery

This family friendly exhibition of all things blue, from the collections of the Royal Pavilion & Museums, is a journey of discovery in science, history and art. Using the blue objects as a starting point the exhibits lead to the discovery of some fascinating facts and intriguing questions.
Regency Silhouette Workshop
Monday 17th & Tuesday 18th February, 12.00pm - 5.30pm
The Regency Town House
Recommended age 7+

Learn about the history of silhouettes and discover how they were produced. You can try making one for yourself to take home.
Sessions on each day at 12:00pm, 2:00pm & 4:00pm. (Sessions are 70-80 mins)

Bring your fossils, fish or flotsam to show the experts. Professor Pobble and his team will be talking about the geology of our coast and answering your questions about our Sussex coastline.

A dream team of multi-disciplinary scientists, engineers, designers for a hackathon create new weather or climate related activities and resources.
