Brighton Festival: Michael Rosen and the Bear Hunt

Today I will be taking Fizz to her first Brighton Festival show. This mornings Bear Hunt and Chocolate Cake may be a little for me too….

To say that I was silly excited when I found out Michael Rosen was curating this year is to understate it. The reason why? Well at the age of 9ish (my time line is out of whack) Michael came to our school in Coventry and performed. He was magical, full of energy and I remember it fondly. The witty nature, comforting persona and vibrancy of this man obviously played a part in my journey into a book loving graduate of English.

Today I am taking my 3 year old daughter in the hope of a very similar experience. She’s been reciting Bear Hunt for weeks and I am sure that she and I won’t be disappointed.
