WIN: two tickets for MTV Live & Unsigned

Hands up who wants to go to the MTV Live & Unsigned regional finals in Hove Centre 29th April, 2012? We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away courtesy of Mee, local mum and regional finalist.

BrightonMums.com can’t help be very, very proud of our local mum of three Alexandra Sawyer, known as Mee on-stage. Not only does she write extremely beautiful and clever songs, the themes are deeply routed in parenthood and where it takes you without a hint of twee. To celebrate getting through to the regional finals, we have a pair of tickets to the event at the end of April.

To enter the competition we’re going to have some fun of our own. Simply tell us in the comments section below, your favourite popular song (not nursery rhyme or children’s song) that you sing as a family and why. In our house, we love to sing Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, although we’re glad the little one doesn’t understand what it’s about! We’re thrilled that Alexandra will be judging the entries herself too!

This competition is now closed. Please see BrightonMums.com general rules on competitions. Details of event is here.

Little L does Bazza Manilow.

  1. We love to sing Elton John your song as we couldn’t have children for a long time and then miraculously did and I love the line “how wonderful life is, now you’re in the world”.
