How to make a foam flag

Get yourself in the mood for the Olympics with this simple to make flag.

Below is a great tutorial created by Cutfoam who offer foam cut to size.

You will need:

1 sheet of blue foam

1 sheet of red foam

1 sheet of white foam

Scissors

Ruler

Wooden skewer

Step 1

Take sheet of white foam. Mark lines halfway along length and width.

Step 2

Use width of a ruler to make a cross. Don’t worry about pencil lines at this stage as we are working on the back.

 Step 3

Add diagonal lines as shown.

Step 4

Cut out the triangles.

Step 5

Place white foam shape on red foam sheet as a guide and draw around it.

Step 6

Draw in the shaded areas and then cut them out.

Step 7

Place white shape on blue foam sheet and glue down.

Step 8

Place red shapes on top of white and glue down.

Step 9

Trim any overhanging bits from around the edges and insert wooden skewer through one edge of the flag.
