I’m Claire, contented mummy and Brighton lover. As a first time mum I strive to find new and unique ways to create adventure within our family.

I created Brighton Mums as I have been in awe of many of the mums I have met in the community. The diverse, open, liberal and accepting approach to parenting I have seen all over the city inpsired me to create this hub so that people could share ideas and support one another. I also believe strongly in continuing to develop identities as women, men, mothers, fathers, so this site is not only for ideas with kids but also that quality ‘me-time’ without children.

After all, contented parents are confident parents.

I’m Chelle, I am proud mum to a beautiful red headed ball of energy. A Brighton wife and mamma and music lover. I started blogging when I was 17 weeks pregnant, wanting to give first time mums like me an honest diary of my feelings and thoughts throughout pregnancy. While I was on maternity leave I started to review childrens’s products. This came about as a result of reading too many negative reviews and becoming confused with what’s good/bad in the mummy buying world. I love to support local and small business.

Since my pregnancy and having my little Fizz I have gone through all sorts of emotions, been given lots of advice (not always taken) and it’s been such a rollercoaster. I’ve gone from exclusively breastfeeding to bottle feeding, from puree feeding to baby led weaning, from sleep training hater to sleep training lover. I love baby wearing but can still often be seen suffering from pushchair envy.

I want to show you heart felt but researched information so you can make decisions that are right for you!

I love being a Brighton Mum and want to enable other parents to embrace the uniqueness of being a Brighton parent too.
