12 Days of Brighton Christmas Shopping Guide

So this is Christmas. In Brighton. And when you buy local, you support the local economy directly. Starting tomorrow, for 12 days, we will be featuring some top local gift ideas. This is the 12 days of Brighton Christmas.

We are surrounded by talent in our city. You only have to browse the boutiques in North Laine, to which thousands of visitors flock every year, to know it’s special here. But there are more businesses to discover. They are perhaps less consistently visible, being run from people’s homes, in indoor markets, at craft fairs, on Etsy in Artists Open Houses.

Our gift guide

Our gift guide showcases this talent AND gives you some fabulous, unique ideas for Christmas gifts this year – whatever your budget! From jewellery to eco-gifts, homewares, to fitness, skincare and well-being. Shop right here in Brighton or order online (always a fave with us).

Buy local – BrightonMums.com motto

If you’ve ever read our backstory, you’ll know that BrightonMums.com was started after credit crunch hit (now known as the Great Recession) back in 2009. It was a bid to support our local economy, using our digital promotion skills to offer free exposure to local business owners. But also to support working parents, especially the mums contributing £7.2b to the UK economy. Juggling kids, a household and a business is not for the faint-hearted.

Our 12 Days of Brighton Christmas feature is just one of those ways we support local traders. And you can support us and them by reading!

Happy shopping!
